    Hoosiers Open the Season With Doubleheader

    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana men's tennis starts dual-match play this weekend, hosting No. 57 North Carolina State and in-state rival IUPUI in a doubleheader. The Hoosiers will take on the Wolfpack at 2 p.m. ET and then host the Jaguars at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22. The Hoosiers (0-0) start the season ranked No. 46 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association and will face a good test in NC State.

    NC State comes to Bloomington ranked 57th nationally by the ITA and boasts three nationally ranked singles players, including No. 61 Jaime Pulgar and No. 82 Dominic Hodgson. The Wolfpack are 2-0 on the season, having beaten Davidson and UNC-Wilmington in a pair of 7-0 sweeps. They will play at No. 13 Louisville on Friday in their first big test of the season.

    IUPUI is 0-1 on the season after falling at Michigan State by a 7-0 tally. The Jaguars will play at Purdue on Saturday morning before they journey south to Bloomington for the 7 p.m. tilt with the Hoosiers. The match with Indiana will wrap a brutal opening stretch for the Summit League team that sees them open with three Big Ten foes.
