    MEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO MICHIGAN STATE IN KNOXVILLE

    Knoxville, TN--Indiana's men's tennis team lost 4-3 for the second consecutive day at the O'Charley's Classic on the campus of the University of Tennessee. Today the Michigan State Spartans defeated the Hoosiers. Head Coach Ken Hydinger said, "We got the doubles points and the team competed well, but we just couldn't get the job done."

    The Hoosiers won two of the three doubles matches. Derek Pope and Gabriel Montilla won number on doubles 8-3 over Chris Struck and Ken Kigongo. At number two, Andrew Held and Scott Lippitt defeated Ivica Primorac and Francisco Trinidad, 8-4.

    In singles, Lippitt and Held were victorious at two and four, respectively. Lippitt won 3-6, 7-6(8), 6-2 over Struck, and Held beat Trinidad, 4-6, 6-0, 6-3. Montilla and Ian Arons both went three sets before losing.

    In the final day of the O'Charley's Classic, Indiana will take on the host school Tennessee at 3:00pm.
