Bloomington, Ind.-- The Indiana mens tennis team wrapped up its weekend action with a 7-0 over Murray State Sunday afternoon at the IU Indoor Tennis Center. Indiana now sits at 3-1 overall while Murray State slips to 0-3 on the season.
Junior Ryan McCarthy teamed up with sophomore Neil Kenner in the number three doubles position defeating Murray State's Adam Maskill and Craig Jacobs in a close match that was won 9-7.
Junior Ryan Recht returned to his normal number two position in singles after not being in the lineup yesterday and went on to down his opponent Adam Maskill, 6-3, 6-4. Junior Tom Bagnato continued his success from yesterday, winning his match 6-2, 6-1 over Clayton Clark in the number six position.
I am very pleased, said Head Coach Ken Hydinger. I thought everyone, especially Ryan (Recht) and Jakub (Praibis) went up against some very good players. Things couldnt have gone any better for us.
Indiana will be back in action on Friday, February 13 when they face the University of Louisville, in Louisville, Ky. Match time is set for 11 a.m.
