    70th In ITA Poll

    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana men's tennis team is ranked 70th according to the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division I Rankings released on Feb. 8.

    Baylor retained the top-spot with a total of 550 points. UCLA is second (740), followed by Florida (730), Georgia (718) and Illinois (711) to round out the top-five.

    The Hoosiers received 65 points in this week's poll.

    The Hoosiers spring schedule boasts eight opponents that appeared in the 2004 NCAA Championship. Of those eight challengers, five rest in the top-20 of the current ITA rankings. Illinois is ranked fifth, with Virginia and Kentucky at 9th and 13th, respectively. Ohio State stands at 17th and Vanderbilt is 18th.

    IU will travel down south to play a pair of ranked opponents on Feb. 12 and 13. The Hoosiers will face No. 9 Virginia on Saturday, at 2 p.m., in the Boar's Head Sports Club, and No. 57 N.C. State on Sunday, at 11 a.m., in the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center.
