If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Australia, because I've never been there. I've only seen pictures. Fergie (Lachlan Ferguson) is from there, so I'd have to go check it out.
What is your favorite sport besides tennis?
Football. I've always wanted to play it. I love watching it on TV, I love watching college football. I love the NFL and the Bengals.
Who has had the biggest influence in your life and why?
My parents, my mom and dad. They've instilled everything in me and everything I've learned comes from them.
What are your pregame rituals or superstitions?
I like listening to a couple different songs, some U2, a little Dave Matthews Band. I always like to jump rope; that's a superstitious thing.
Finish this sentence - The best thing about Indiana is:
The campus. It's great. The tennis is great. The Kelley School of Business is excellent. That was a big reason I came here.
The teammate I most admire is who, and why?
Dara McLoughlin. He's a crazy Irishman who loves living in America.
What makes Indiana different from any other program?
It's a very well-rounded program. You get the academics, you have the social activities, and you get a great location in the Midwest.
What are your goals for this year?
To make the NCAA Tournament and do well in the Big Ten Tournament. Getting into the tournament would be big.
What do you like to do when you're not playing tennis?
I like hanging out with my friends and teammates. I like working out and being outside. I'm not really an indoors kind of guy.
What's your favorite class and why?
Any of my real estate classes. That's what I've been working toward the past two years. It's nice to get out of the general education classes and go into something that you want to do later in life.
