BLOOMINGTON, Ind.- Indiana men's tennis player junior John Stone, along with senior Ryan Recht, has been part of the No. 1 doubles team for the Hoosiers this spring. IUHOOSIERS.com recently had a chance to speak with Stone about playing at the top doubles spot, what's in his CD player and Maria Sharapova.

IUHOOSIERS.com: What is the toughest thing about playing No. 1 doubles?

JS: "You started me off with a tough one."

IUHOOSIERS.com: Yeah, I really put you on the spot.

JS: "I would have to say that there are no easy matches. Every team that you face is going to be the opponent's top team. Even with the weakest school, the No. 1 doubles team is still strong."

IUHOOSIERS.com: Do you prefer to play on indoor or outdoor tennis courts?

    JS: "Indoor"

    IUHOOSIERS.com: How come?

JS: "No wind, no elements and my serve is harder indoor than it is outdoor."

IUHOOSIERS.com: What is your best weapon on the court?

    JS: "My serve"

IUHOOSIERS.com: What type of racket are you using right now?

    JS: "Tecnifibre"

IUHOOSIERS.com: Is that your favorite type?

JS: "Head was my favorite, but they discontinued it. So now I use the "Tecnifibre."

IUHOOSIERS.com: What is your favorite pre-match meal?

JS: "I would have to Subway Chicken Pizzaiola."

IUHOOSIERS.com: What is in your CD player right now?

JS: "I have a six CD changer. So I have Dave [Matthews], Gavin DeGraw, Dashboard Confessional and three mix CD's."

IUHOOSIERS.com: If you could go out on a date with Anna Kournikova or Maria Sharapova, whom would you pick?

JS: "I would have to go with Maria Sharapova."

    IUHOOSIERS.com: Why her?

JS: "She is hotter and much better at tennis."

IUHOOSIERS.com: If you could host a game show, which one would it be?

JS: "I would host Jeopardy, because of that Ken Jennings guy. I got interested in watching when he won over a million dollars."

IUHOOSIERS.com: If you could play anyone in a tennis match on any court, who would it be and where would the match be played?

JS: "I would play Pete Sampras at the French Open or any clay court."
