BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana men's tennis team maintained its ranking of 70th according to the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division I Rankings released on Feb. 15.

Baylor retained the top spot with a total of 10 first-place votes. UCLA is second, Illinois is third, Georgia is fourth and Florida rounds out the top five.

The Hoosiers spring schedule boasts eight opponents that appeared in the 2004 NCAA Championship. Of those eight challengers, five rest in the top 20 of the current Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division I team rankings. Illinois is ranked fourth with Virginia and Kentucky at ninth and 13th, respectively. Ohio State stands at 15th and Vanderbilt is 18th.

Fifteen of the 22 spring opponents rank in the top 75, including eight combatants from the Big Ten.

Indiana will look to snap a three-match skid this weekend with a home contest against No. 26 Louisville. The Hoosiers will host the Cardinals on Friday, Feb. 18, at 4 p.m., in the IU Varsity Tennis Center. Friday night's match is part of the Hoosiers "Dinner With Doubles" event held annually. The cost of admission to the contest is $6 and includes an all-you-can-eat Pizza Hut Buffet (pizza, salad and soft drinks).
