    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The No. 55 Indiana men's tennis team has a pair of matches on the horizon. The Hoosiers will travel to No. 72 Ball State on Thursday, Feb. 24, and host No. 17 Vanderbilt on Sunday, Feb. 27. IU and BSU will meet at 1 p.m. in the Muncie YMCA and the Commodores travel to the IU Tennis Center for a 2 p.m. contest.

    News And Notes:

    *** Indiana defeated then-No. 26 Louisville, 5-2, on Feb. 19. It was the first time that the Hoosiers had beaten a top-30 opponent since Jan. 24, 2003. On that date, IU bettered Notre Dame by the margin of 4-3. Current seniors Ryan Recht and Jakub Praibis, both sophomores on that team, won in singles action.

    *** Senior Jakub Praibis defeated then-No. 124 Damar Johnson of Louisville, 6-3, 6-1, on Feb. 18. It was the fourth ranked foe that the Litomerice, Czech Republic, product has bested this spring. He downed then-No. 77 Stephen Bass of then-No. 34 Notre Dame, 6-4, 7-5, on Feb. 22, and then-No. 68 Andreas Siljestrom of then-No. 54 Middle Tennessee State, 7-6, 4-6, 7-5, on Feb. 5. He most recently topped then-No. 82 Conor Taylor of then-No. 57 N.C. State, 3-6, 7-5, 7-5, on Feb. 13. Praibis has now beaten 11 ranked opponents for his career. He vanquished a pair last year and five as a sophomore.
