BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Five members of the Indiana men's tennis team were named to IU Athletics' Alpha Beta Honorary, the Hoosier athletic department announced today. In order to earn Alpha Beta recognition, student-athletes must earn a minimum 3.0 grade point average for the most recent academic semester.

Seniors Jakub Praibis and Ryan Recht, juniors Dmytro Ishtuganov and John Stone, along with sophomore David Bubenicek garnered the honor.

In Greek, alpha and beta are the first and second letters in the alphabet; in astronomy, they are the first and second brightest stars in a constellation. For Indiana University's Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, they represent the A's and B's necessary to earn a 3.0 grade point average.

An asterisk denotes a 3.5 GPA or better.

    David Bubenicek - Pre-Business, Finance
    Dmytro Ishtuganov - Economics
    Jakub Praibis - General Studies
    Ryan Recht - Management
    *John Stone - Management
