If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I would go to Australia, because I've heard a lot of good things about it and have always wanted to see it. I would also go to Jamacia because I love the culture and the music.
Since coming to Indiana, I've learned:
I've learned there are a lot of different cultures. Being from the East Coast, I've learned there's a whole different world.
What is your favorite sport besides tennis?
I like boxing. I think I can relate it a lot to tennis. I admire the strength and condition those guys are in.
The teammate I most admire is who, and why?
I admire Arnaud (Roussel), because he speaks the least amount of English out of all of us. I admire that he came here from another country, made friends quickly, came from another team with only two years left. He's a great teammate.
What do you like best about Coach Hydinger?
I like his motivational speeches. Sometimes he's comical, I like his jokes.
Do you have a nickname?
My nickname is Mak. It's my initials, Matthew Adam Kendall.
My favorite thing about Bloomington is:
It's a pretty small town. I come from a big city, and it's pretty easy to see the whole place.
What are your goals for this year?
My goals are to get the most out of the season and for the team to do the best we can do.
What do you like to do when you're not playing tennis?
I like to listen to music, go bowling, play pool, or just hang out.
What's your favorite class and why?
I like English classes because I enjoy writing. My favorite classes are any classes in which I can write papers.
