    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana remains in Clemson for its spring break trip to take on Furman and Wofford on Thursday, March 15.

    LAST TIME OUT
    Indiana fell to a pair of top-20 teams in No. 20 Clemson (7-0) and No. 18 South Alabama (6-1) at the Clemson Invitational, March 10-11. After an ankle injury to Arnaud Roussel against Clemson, the Hoosiers did not compete at No. 3 doubles or No. 6 singles when they took on South Alabama. Thomas Richter had the biggest win of the weekend for Indiana, defeating No. 27 Marek Sramek of South Alabama, 6-3, 6-1.

    SCOUTING REPORT
    Furman is ranked 57th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll. The team is 6-8 on the year and 2-2 in its last four matches, which included wins over Georgia Tech and Kentucky. Andy Juc is ranked 110th in singles action.

    Wofford is 5-3 on the year, including a 1-1 record in the Southern Conference. The Terriers are led by Andrew Stubbs, who is 4-4 at No. 1 singles. Stubbs teams with Richard Cahl at No. 1 doubles, where the duo has a 4-4 mark.

    RICHTER JOINS HOOSIERS FOR SPRING SEASON
    Junior Thomas Richter, a transfer from Birmingham-Southern, has made an immediate impact after joining the Hoosiers for the spring season. He upset his first ranked opponent on March 11, defeating No. 27 Marek Sramek of South Alabama, 6-3, 6-1. Richter was ranked at No. 119 in April 2006 in the ITA singles rankings. He is 6-4 in singles and 7-3 in doubles this season with Dara McLoughlin.

    BUBENICEK HONORED BY BIG TEN
    Senior David Bubenicek was named Big Ten Player of the Week on Jan. 18 for his performance in Indiana's first matches of the spring campaign. He won his first two singles matches against Morehead State and IPFW, competing at No. 1. Bubenicek is currently 19-8 on the year in singles and 13-5 in doubles. Bubenicek was ranked at No. 48 in the first ITA singles rankings of the year.

    MCLOUGHLIN STEPS UP
    Junior Dara McLoughlin is 16-4 in doubles this season. He has teamed with both David Bubenicek (9-1) and Thomas Richter (7-3) this year. In singles, McLoughlin is 8-6 in the dual-match season and 14-9 overall.
