Hoosiers Win at Vanderbilt
NASHVILLE, TENN. -- The 28th ranked Indiana men's tennis
team continued its winning ways with a 5-2 win at Vanderbilt.
The win improves IU to 9-3.
The doubles was tightly contested with the Hoosiers picking up
a point with a pair of wins. Indiana pulled out an 8-5 win as
Rahman Smiley and Paul Jacobsen won at No. 3 and George McGill
and Milan Rakvica captured the No. 2 doubles 9-7.
The Hoosiers took the first three singles matches off of the
court to clinch the team victory. Jacobson won the clinching
match, defeating Brad Hambrick, 6-4, 6-2 at No. 5. Milan Rakvica
won the final match of the day at No. 1 to ensure the 5-2 IU
