    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - After a 10-day layoff, the No. 57 Indiana men's tennis team (7-8, 1-1 Big Ten) won three-straight matches, all at home, by identical scores of 7-0. The Hoosiers blanked Southern Indiana, Toledo and Vincennes en route to the three-match winning streak. The Cream and Crimson had a pair of three-match stints last year, but this is the first for 2005.

    ***IU will next host No. 68 Purdue (3-6, 0-1) on Saturday, March 26. The match is slated to begin at 2 p.m., and weather permitting, it will be played on the IU Varsity Tennis Courts.

    ***Purdue owns a nine-match winning streak over Indiana. The Hoosiers will look to garner their first win over the Boilermakers since a 5-2 conquest on April 8, 1995. Prior to the Boilers nine-match winning streak, the Cream and Crimson claimed nine-straight in the series. The Hoosiers lead the all-time match-up 49-31-2.

    ***Senior Jakub Praibis vaulted from 56th to 39th in the current Intercollegiate Tennis Association player rankings released on March 22. The doubles tandem of senior Ryan Recht and junior John Stone entered the poll at 56th. It is the first-ever national ranking for the twosome.

    ***Sophomore David Bubenicek would like to continue his impressive play that has carried him to a 15-4 overall mark and an 11-1 docket in dual matches. The Kromeriz, Czech Republic, product is riding an eight-match winning streak.

    ***Stone has won six matches in a row, while fellow classmate Dmytro Ishtuganov has claimed his last five outings. The top doubles teams of Stone and Recht, along with No. 2 tandem of Ishtuganov and Praibis, have both won their last five tilts.
