    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana closes out its home schedule this weekend with matches against Illinois (April 14) and Purdue (April 15). Action begins at noon each day on the Varsity Tennis Courts.

    LAST TIME OUT
    The Hoosiers went 1-1 in its last two matches, falling to Wisconsin, 5-2, and upsetting Northwestern, 4-3. After dropping the doubles point to the Wildcats, Thomas Richter (No. 1), Dara McLoughlin (No. 3) and Arnaud Roussel (No. 4) each won in singles, before David Bubenicek won a marathon match at No. 2 against No. 107 Christian Tempke, 6-1, 6-7 (4-7), 7-6 (7-4), to clinch the win.

    THE WEEK AHEAD
    Illinois, ranked ninth in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll, is led by fifth-ranked Kevin Anderson. He teams with Ryan Rowe in doubles, where the duo is ranked 10th.

    Purdue is 8-9 on the season. A point in the Crimson and Gold Cup standings will be awarded to the winner of the match.

    HOOSIERS IN THE ITA RANKINGS
    Indiana earned a ranking of No. 66 in the latest ITA Fila Collegiate Rankings, released on April 10. The Hoosiers has been ranked as high as No. 58 in the ITA rankings this season (Jan. 10).

    RICHTER HONORED BY BIG TEN
    Junior Thomas Richter, a transfer from Birmingham-Southern, has made an immediate impact after joining the Hoosiers for the spring season. Richter was named Big Ten Athlete of the Week on April 11, after going 4-0 at No. 1 singles and doubles against Wisconsin. He was ranked No. 103 in the ITA singles rankings on March 20, his first ranking of the year. Richter is 11-6 in singles and 13-4 in doubles this season with Dara McLoughlin. The duo have been ranked as high as No. 58 this year.

    BUBENICEK REACHES 20 WINS
    Senior David Bubenicek became the first Indiana player to reach 20 wins this season with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over No. 110 Andy Juc of Furman, giving him 20 wins in three consecutive seasons. He is currently 24-10 on the year in singles and 16-9 in doubles. Bubenicek was ranked 48th in the first ITA singles rankings of the year. He has also been ranked in doubles with Dara McLoughlin. The duo has been ranked as high as 50th this season.

    ALSO AT 20 WINS
    Senior Arnoud Roussel earned his 20th victory of the year against Iowa on March 25. Junior Dara McLoughlin reached 20 wins against Northwestern on April 8.

    MCLOUGHLIN STEPS UP
    Junior Dara McLoughlin is 22-5 in doubles this season. He has teamed with both David Bubenicek (9-1) and Thomas Richter (13-4) this year. McLoughlin was ranked as high as 50th with Bubenicek, and 56th with Richter.
