    Hoosiers Close Regular Season At Home

    On Tap...This Hoosiers will conclude their Big Ten regular season this weekend with two home matches. With a win in either match they will surpass last years Big Ten record. On Saturday, they will welcome Wisconsin into Bloomington. Last year, the Hoosiers dropped a 5-2 match to the Badgers at home. On Sunday, the Hoosiers will welcome Iowa to town. In their meeting in Iowa City last year, the Hoosiers were able to slip past the Hawkeyes 4-3, as they won four out of the six singles matches.

    Weekend split...The Hoosiers came into last weekend facing two teams that were ranked ahead of them in the ITA Poll. They came hoem from Illinois with a weekend split. On Saturday, the Hoosiers lost to #2 Illinois 5-2. The Hoosiers revbounded from that loss to defeat #34 Northwestern on Sunday 5-2.

    Perfection...With two more victories last weekend, junior George McGill, improved his Big Ten record to a perfect 8-0 this year. On Saturday, McGill defeat Illinois' Jeff Laski and now has the best record of any No. 3 player in the Big Ten. McGill now stands at 17-5 overall and at 12-4 in dual matches.

    The Streak...Sophomore Milan Rakvica added two more victories to his winning streak last weekend. The streak now stands at 15-matches. Rakvica is the team leader in two singles categories. He leads the team with a 28-8 overall record and has posted a 17-3 dual record.

    Jacobson Wins 40th...With a win over Northwestern's Jamie Sahara, Paul Jacobson won his 40th career singles match on Sunday. Jacosbson, a sophomore, currently is second on the team in singles wins with a 26-10 record and is also second on the team with a 14-6 dual record.

    Doubles Team...The doubles team of sophomore Ian Arons and junior Ricardo Jordan have been the Hoosiers most consistent team so far this season. Since the Dual Match season started, they have posted a 16-4 overall record, while going 6-2 in the Big Ten. Overall, the No. 3 team, has posted an record of 19-5.

    Potpourri...Junior Gabriel Montilla has posted a 19-17 overall record this year...Freshman Rahman Smiley is currently 11-11 this spring at the No. 6 singles position, including two match clinching wins the last two weekends...Montilla and Smiley are paired together as the No. 1 doubles unit and they posted a 13-13 overall record...Arons, the No. 1 singles player, has made his mark in Big Ten matches so far by posting a 4-4 record....The doubles team of Rakvica and Jacobson are 17-12 overall, while going 9-10 in dual matches.

    Head Coach Ken Hydinger...is in his 15th season as the Head Coach of the men's tennis team. He has a overall record of 231-156-1, while going 102-79 in the Big Ten. Coach Hydinger has been a coach at the collegiate level for twenty years, coaching at Southwest Missouri State and Mississippi before coming to Indiana. In his 20 years of coaching he has a record of 297-201-1.

    Looking to the Future...The Hoosiers will take part in the Big Ten Champioships in Ann Arbor, Michigan from April 29 through May 2.
