    IU Falls to Purdue,5-2

    WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind.--The No. 59 Indiana men's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to its arch-rival, No. 62 Purdue on Saturday afternoon in West Lafayette. With the loss, the Hoosiers slip to 11-10 overall and 5-4 in Big Ten play while the Boilermakers improve to 10-11 overall and 5-5 in the conference.

    A shift in the normal doubles competition proved to work as the Hoosiers earned the doubles point after Jakub Praibis/Dmytro Ishtuganov defeated Sounak Chatterjee/Filip Koziell at No. 2 and the new tandem of Ryan Recht/Tom Bagnato beat Paul Rose/Scott Warner at No. 3.

    The change however, was not enough as the other Indiana point came when Neil Kenner defeated David Robinson, 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 3 spot.

    It was a hard fought battle for the Hoosiers as all but one match went into three sets. Praibis lost to Paul Rose, 2-6, 6-2, 7-6 at No. 1, Ryan Recht dropped his match to Troy Havens, 7-6, 6-7, 6-3 at No. 2. Tom Bagnato was taken down by Chatterjee, 6-2, 4-6, 6-0 at No. 3, David Bubenicek was defeated by Colin Foster at No. 5, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 and lastly, McCarthy fell to Eric Hodgman, 6-2, 6-2.
