Men's Tennis Heads to Big Ten Tournament
April 24, 2012
Indiana men's tennis (21-8, 7-4) heads to Evanston, Ill., this weekend to play in the Big Ten Tournament. The Hoosiers are the five seed and match up with 12th-seeded Iowa (1-21, 0-11) on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. ET. The Hoosiers will take on four seed Minnesota (13-6, 8-3) on Friday morning with a first round victory.
Indiana is on a five-match winning streak, and defeated Iowa 6-1 earlier this month. The Hoosiers haven't lost their first match in the Big Ten tournament since 2006. Last year, the Hoosiers knocked off Purdue in the second round before falling to Minnesota in the semifinals.
Indiana's regular-season meeting with the Gophers was the last loss for the Hoosiers this season, a 4-3 heartbreaker.
