Hoosiers Enter Big Ten Tourney as Two-Seed
April 27, 2011
With the best regular season in school history in the books, men's tennis heads to Madison, Wis., this weekend for the Big Ten Tournament. The Hoosiers advanced to the quarterfinals when they hosted the tournament a year ago. This season as the No. 2 seed, they start in the quarterfinals, where they await the winner of seven seed Purdue and 10 seed Iowa.
The Hoosiers finished the regular season with a 22-6 record and 9-1 in the Big Ten. The 22 wins matches IU's most ever in a season and the 9-1 record also matches the school's all-time best. Indiana is ranked 26th in the latest ITA rankings.
Indiana dropped Purdue by a 6-1 tally in March and bagled Iowa 7-0 in early April. The Hoosiers have won their first match in the Big Ten Tournament in each of the last three years
