    KAZAN, Russia - Indiana's Isade Juneau fell to Ray Sarmiento of the United States a the World University Games. Juneau, competing for Canada, fell 6-0, 6-2 to the University of Southern California product. Juneau also played two matches in the mixed doubles bracket, playing with Dominique Harmath, a product of Rice University.

    Juneau and Harmath won their opening round match 6-4, 6-2 over Vatsy Rakotondramanga and Hariniony Andriamananarivo of Madagascar. The Canadian duo's second round matchup had much shorter names but also proved to be a stiffer test on the court. Jisung Nam and Min Hwa Yu of South Korea prevailed in a third set tiebreaker. Juneau and Harmath won the first set 6-3, but Nam and Yu took the second set by an identical 6-3 tally. The third set breaker was a good one as it went to extra tennis with the Koreans prevailing 12-10.
