BLOOMINGTON, Ind.-- The Indiana mens tennis team will travel to West Lafayette, Ind. to take part in the Purdue Invitational Oct. 18-19. The tournament, featuring Purdue, Butler, Indiana, Northwestern Toledo and Western Michigan will be run in a hidden-dual format.
Head Coach Ken Hydinger is anxious to get the fall season underway and see what his team can do at this invitational.
We have been working hard the past few weeks, said Hydinger. It will be good to put things into a competitive situation, especially for the new guys. We hope to gain some experience as well as some match toughness this weekend.
The schedule of events for Indiana is as follows:
Saturday, Oct. 18: 9 a.m.: Indiana vs. Toledo (doubles-indoor)
12:15 p.m.: Indiana vs. Western Michigan (singles-outdoor)
3:30 p.m.: Purdue vs. Indiana (singles-outdoor)
Sunday, Oct. 19 9 a.m.: Toledo vs. Indiana (singles-outdoor)
10 a.m: Butler vs. Indiana (doubles-indoor)
1:30 p.m.: Indiana vs. Northwestern (doubles-indoor)
All outdoor matches will be played at the Varsity Tennis Courts on the Purdue campus. All indoor matches will be played at the Lafayette Sports Center.
