    ON TAP...The men's tennis team sends five players up to Madison, Wisconsin to take part in the ITA Region IV Championship. The tournament will take place from Friday to Sunday and will include the best players ftom the region. Going to Madison for the Hoosiers will be senior George McGill, juniors Ian Arons, Milan Rakvica and Paul Jacobson and sophomore Rahman Smiley. Arons will be the 13th-seed in the singles draw and he received a first round bye. Rakvica and McGill also received first round byes, with Rakvica being the 17th-seed. Jacobson will take on Notre Dame's Andrew Laflin in the first round, while Rahman Smiley will take on Wisconsin's Adam Schumacher. In doubles, the Hoosiers will send two teams. Rakvica and Smiley will take on Ivica Primorac and Robert Topalo of Michigan State in the first round. Arons and Jacobson will take on Laith Al-Agba and Scott Myers of Purdue in the first round.

    REEBOK/ITA ALL-AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS...Indiana sent four players down to Austin, Texas to compete in the ITA/All-American Men's Tennis Championships the from October 14-18. The ITA/All-American Championship is the second leg of the Collegiate Grand Slam. Ian Arons picked up four wins and Milan Rakvica picked up three in the pre-qualifying round to advance to the qualifying round. Both lost in the first round. Gabriel Montilla and Rahman Smiley both lost in the pre-qualifying round. Montilla did however win three matches, while Smiley won two.
