    Ann Arbor, Mich. - Senior Jakub Praibis defeated Roger Matalonga of Arizona, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2, in the first round of the consolation singles bracket at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Indoor Championships on Friday afternoon.

    Praibis improves to 4-3 on the fall season and will now play K.C. Corkery of Stanford in the quarterfinal round on Saturday.

    The 2004 ITA Indoor Championships, the nation's premier collegiate indoor tennis tournament for Division I men, is hosted by the University of Michigan at its Varsity Tennis Center for the second straight year. The event showcases a 32-player singles field and a 16-team doubles bracket for collegiate players.
