Neville is Beijing-Bound, Jefferson Advances

7/4/2008 - David Neville qualified for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games on July 3, finishing third in finals of the 400m dash at the U.S. Track and Field Olympic Trials. Neville is the first male former Hoosier to qualify for the Olympics since 1996, when Bob Kennedy and Jim Spivey both qualified in the 5,000m run. Read Full Release

Neville, Richmond Advance to Finals at Olympic Trials

Former IU standout David Neville advanced to the 400m finals at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials on Monday, June 30, recording the fourth best time in the semifinals when he crossed the finish line in 45.03 seconds.

Another former Hoosier advanced at the Olympic Trials on Monday. Four-time Big Ten champion Rose Richmond advanced to the finals in the long jump with her leap of 6.50m (21-4).
