    Indiana Athletics Celebrates Student-Athletes with Spirit of Indiana Showcase

    Ciersten Burks and Jordan Hulls named 2013 Spirit of Indiana Director's Award winners.

    2009-10 (SOPHOMORE): Indoor: Finished one spot out of scoring a team point in the triple jump at Big Tens, leaping an indoor best 14.66m (48-1.25). Outdoor: Advanced to the NCAA East Preliminary Round in the triple jump, leaping 15.25m (50-0.5) for fourth-place at Big Tens, earning five points for the Hoosiers ... jumped just a centimeter off a PR at the East prelims, leaping 15.24m (50-0) to finish 21st ... recorded a career-best leap of 7.12m (23-4.25) in the long jump at the Billy Hayes Invitational.

    2008-09 (FRESHMAN): Indoor: Recorded a career-best leap of 6.96m at the Indiana Open, finishing third in the long jump ... had a career-best hop, skip and jump of 14.35m at the Alex Wilson Invitational. Outdoor: Earned three points for Indiana at the Big Ten Championships with a sixth-place finish in the triple jump, leaping a career best 14.90m (48-10.75) ... claimed third-place in the long jump at the Billy Hayes Invitational, jumping a career best 6.82m (22-4.5).

    PREP: Seven-time all-area team honors ... four-time all-state honors ... three-time All-American ... 2008 Metropolitan Area Athlete of the Year ... 2008 Northwest Region champion in long jump ... first-team All-Metro honors in 2008 ... six-time district jumps champion ... holds school and district records in long and triple jump ... holds area triple jump record holder ... lettered eight times in track and field and basketball.

    PERSONAL: Born March 8, 1990 ... majoring in sport communication ... son of Ron and Phyllis Parker ... has a sister named Bristy.
