IU Concludes Tyson Invite Action

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Indiana men's and women's track and field teams concluded action at the Tyson Invitational on Feb. 11. In preparation for the NCAA Championships against some of the nation's best athletes, the Hoosiers recorded eight top-ten finishes and ten new personal best marks at Arkansas' Randal Tyson Track Center.
After a successful opening day of the Invite, the Hoosiers picked up right where they left off. Both the women's 4x400m relay and DMR teams ran a season-best race with times of 3:44.80 and 11:49.23, respectively. The men's 4x400m relay team continued to get faster clocking in at a season-fast time of 3:14.37.
In the men's 200m, David Neville's time of 21.36 was good enough for third place in the event, while teammates Marcus Thigpen and Wil Glover recoded new personal bests in the event. Thigpen then went on to claim fourth in the 60m with a time of 6.88.
Ryan Ketchum in the men's weight throw took sixth place with a new personal best mark of 18.61m (61-00.75).
Indiana rounds out the regular season on Friday, Feb. 17 in Bloomington at the Hoosier Hills meet. The meet is slated to begin at 5 p.m. in Gladstein Fieldhouse.
