    FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - David Neville took runner-up at the 2006 Indoor Track and Field Championships at Arkansas' Randal Tyson Indoor Track on March 11 in the 400m after shattering the school record and his personal best the night before in the prelims. Neville crossed the line for the 400m title in an impressive 45.67.

    After shattering the 22-year old school record in the prelims of the 400m with a personal best time of 45.53, Neville, the current Big Ten champion in the event, continued to impress with a time of 45.67 in the finals of the event. Neville's time garnered second place in what turned out to be an outstanding run for the Merrillville, Ind., product at the 42nd annual championships.

    Neville took second only to LSU's Xavier Carter who crossed the line in 45.28 to take the title.
