Hoosiers Lead After First Day Indiana Invite

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Hoosiers finished day one of the Indiana Invitational on top. Indiana got big points in the men's and women's 1,500 meter races and the women's pole vault, taking the top two spots in each. Indiana finished the day with 67 points from the men and the women with 71, both totals tops in the four-team field.
The Hoosiers also got a win in the men's 4x100m relay. The quartet of Tyler Sult, Kind Butler, Chris Vaughn and Devin Pipkin won by a full second, clocking a meet record of 40.76 in retched conditions.
Kristen Crawford posted a big personal best in the hammer throw for third. She launched a bomb of 54.00m (177-2) which ranks third all-time at Indiana. She improved her career mark by more than five feet.
