Hoosiers Continue Action at National Meets

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Members of the Indiana men's and women's track and field teams continued competition at the USA Track and Field Outdoor Nationals in Eugene, Ore., and the Canadian Track and Field Championships in Toronto.
Rising sophomore Derek Drouin competed unattached in Toronto and placed sixth in the high jump with a mark of 2.05 meters.
In Eugene, rising sophomore Chelsea Blanchard ran in the first round of the junior women's 1,500-meter run and clocked a time of 4:35.05 to finish eighth overall and qualify for Sunday's finals at 6:05 p.m. ET. Also qualifying for Sunday's competition was rising sophomore Andy Bayer, also in the 1,500-meters. Bayer finished sixth overall with a time of 3:53.08. Sunday's junior men's 1,500-meter final at 6:15 p.m.
Rising sophomores Kaylan Comer, Rex Parker and Olu Olamigoke will compete in the junior women's 3,000-meter steeplechase and the junior men's triple jump, respectively, at 6:25 p.m. on Sunday in Eugene.
