    Huber Posts Provisional Time

A number of Hoosiers took their final shot at qualifying for the NCAA Championship at Notre Dame over the weekend.

Ryan Huber won the 800 meters with a season best and an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 1:50.07. Matt Harris and Micah Haevery both competed in the 60-meter hurdles with Harris placing 10th (8.10) and Harvey finishing 12th (8.16).

A pair of Hoosiers also competed in the 5,000 meters as Bart Phariss placed 11th (14:18.35) and Chad Andrews finished 18th (14:39.61).

Emily Tharpe posted a mark 3.9 meters in the pole vault, a provisional qualifier, but not her top of mark of the year as she cleared 3.91 at the Big Ten Championship.

The Hoosiers distance medley relay team placed sixth with a time of 11:41.99, a season best for IU. A trio of Hoosiers competed in the 800 meters. Courtney Bell led the way with an 8th place finish with a time of 2:12.11. Mindy Peterson ran a 2:14.93 which was good for 15th place while Audrey Giesler finished 18th with a time of 2:15.59.

The Hoosiers will now wait to find out which provisional times will earn a trip to the NCAA Championship next weekend.
