BLOOMINGTON, Ind.-- The Indiana Track and Field team will host its first meet of the 2004-05 outdoor season, the Indiana Relays on April 1-2. The meet is set to begin at 5 p.m., on Friday with action beginning at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
The 2005 Indiana Relays will pit the Hoosiers against Central Michigan and Army in a scored meet and will also showcase some of the top high school talent from the state.

RECAP OF FLORIDA RELAYS
Rainy conditions caused most of the 62nd annual Florida Relays to be canceled on March 25-26, but a few Hoosiers were able to squeeze in some performances.
Senior Ryan Ketchum put forth a solid effort in the discus, finishing fourth overall after heaving a mark of 51.07m (167-06.00).
In addition, sophomores Stacey Clausing and Michele Huber and senior Charlene Maddox competed in the 400m. Clausing was the top finisher of the trio, clocking in a time of 55.42, good for fifth in the heat. Huber (57.72) and Maddox (58.12) finished 14th and 16th, respectively.
RECAP OF STANFORD INVITATIONAL
Junior Kelly Siefker ran a personal best time of 10:24.69 in the 3,000m steeplechase to capture a fourth-place finish at the Stanford Invitational on March 25. The time ranks second all time on the IU best list and surpassed the regional qualifying standard of 10:52.10. Siefker's previous personal best was a 10:26.84 at the Penn Relays last season.
In other action at the Stanford Invite, sophomore Lindsay Hattendorf also turned in a personal best and regional qualifying time in the 5,000m, clocking in at 16:40.70, which was good for an eighth-place finish. Hattendorf's previous personal best in the event was 16:53.88 at the Penn Relays two seasons ago.

Up next, the Hoosiers will head to Eugene, Ore., to take part in the Pepsi Relays on Saturday, April 9 beginning at Noon. The meet, which is a scored event, features Indiana, Missouri, and the host school Oregon.
