PALO ALTO, Calif.-- Three Indiana men's distance runners competed at the Stanford Invite at Cobb Track and Angell Field on Friday, March 31, as Mark Fruin captured an 18th-place finish in the 5,000m with a time of 14:30.00. His teammate Jordan Kyle was right on his heels, finishing in 20th place in 14:43.17. Timothy McLeod was entered in the event, but did not finish the race.
The Indiana women's track and field team started the 2006 outdoor season off on the right foot, as all four student-athletes that competed at the Stanford Invitational met the regional qualifying standard in their respective events.
Jessica Gall turned in an impressive performance in the 5,000m as she captured a 12th-place finish with a career-best time of 16:16.50.
