Kyle Posts IU's Second Fastest Time in the 10K at Mt. SAC Relays

WALNUT, Calif. - Sophomore Jordan Kyle clocked a personal-best 29:14.01, the second fastest 10,000-meter time in IU history, as a group of the Indiana distance corp competed at the Mt. SAC Relays on Friday, April 13, at the Hilmer Lodge Stadium in Walnut, Calif.
Kyle placed 11th overall with a time that provisionally qualified him for the NCAA Outdoor Championships on June 7-9, in Sacramento, Calif. He has already qualified for the NCAA Mideast Regional meet in the 5,000-meter run, which will be held in Columbia, Mo., on May 25-26.
Sophomore Mark Fruin, who also posted a personal best with a time of 29:55.28 for 24th place. Fruin's time is also the seventh-fastest all-time in the IU record book. Freshman Tim McLeod also competed in the 10K and clocked a personal-best 30:02.62 for 27th place. McLeod's time is ranked eighth all-time in Hoosier lore.
Senior Marcus Aguilar posted a time of 9:11.72 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase for sixth place.
