Men's Track and Field to Compete in the 98th Running of the Drake Relays

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana track and field team will travel to Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa, for the 98th running of the Drake Relays on Wednesday, April 25-Saturday, April 28.
The Hoosiers begin participation on Friday morning with the 4x100-meter relay at 10:48 a.m. ET. Field events for IU are set to start at 2:15 p.m. with the high jump.
Senior Marcus Aguilar and sophomore Jordan Kyle will travel to the 12th Annual Payton Jordan Cardinal Invitational, hosted by Stanford University, in Palo Alto, Calif., on Sunday, April 29. Aguilar will represent the Hoosiers in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, while Kyle will run the 5,000-meter run. Kyle has already qualified for regional competition in the 5K, while he has provisionally qualified for NCAA Championships in the 10,000-meter run.
Freshman Eric Werskey improved on his regional qualifying mark in the shot put with a toss of 17.48 meters at the Cardinal Invitational in Louisville, Ky., on April 21. Sophomore Paul Fearnow recorded a mark of 55.74 meters to qualify for the NCAA Mideast Regional in the hammer throw. The Hoosiers now have five athletes in six events that have qualified for the May 25-26 regional in Columbia, Mo.
