    BLOOMINGTON, Ind.-Indiana's 4x1600m relay team of Eric Redman, Sean Jefferson, Stephen Haas and All-American John Jefferson finished second at the 94th annual Drake Relays Friday afternoon in Des Moines, Iowa. The Hoosiers crossed the finish line in 16:44.74.

    In other action at the Drake Relays, defending national runner-up in the triple jump Aarik Wilson took second in the long jump at 7.82m/25-8. Lauren Chesnut finished eighth in the triple jump at 12.66m/41-6.5. Andre Grimes finished sixth in his heat of the 100m at 10.95, while Mike Minton was 11th in the shot put (16.46m/54-00) and also competed in the discus 46.77/153-5. Ryan Ketchum threw the discus 45.96m/150-9. The men's 4x800m relay team of Russell Hollis, Joel Cotton, Kris McAloon and Ryan Huber finished in 7:50.84.

    At the 109th Penn Relays in Philadelphia, All-American Danielle Carruthers won her 100m hurdles heat (13.34) to advance to the finals. The 4x200m relay team of Rachelle Boone, Carruthers, Ara Towns and Chioma Ndubisi finished second in their heat (1:33.70) to advance to Saturday's final. Boone was fourth in the 100m preliminaries and advanced to the finals, but the official time was unavailable. Andrea DallaRosa (43.17m/141-07) and Jackie Taylor (40.71/133-06) also competed in the discus. The women's sprint medley team of Ara Towns, Chioma Ndubisi, Larra Overton and Charlene Maddox finished 17th at 14:00.33.
