BLOOMINGTON, Ind.-- Indiana men's track and field athlete Aarik Wilson has been named Co-Big Ten Track and Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Monday. The honor is the fourth of his career and the second for the 2005 season. Wilson shares this award with Nick Willis of Michigan.

The eight-time All-American earned the conference honor after winning both the long jump and triple jump titles at the 96th-annual Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa. Wilson came out in winning fashion in the long jump as he reached a mark of 7.88m (25-10.25). In the triple jump, the Fallon, Nev., native leaped 16.59m (54-05.25). Both marks were not only season-bests and met the regional qualifying standard, but also rank third in the nation.
