BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana track and field standouts Kyle Jenkins and Abbie Stechschulte will get their chance to earn a spot on Team USA when they travel to Eugene, Ore., to compete in the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Track and Field Trials, hosted by the University of Oregon at Hayward Field on June 27-July 6.

Jenkins will compete in the qualifying round of the triple jump on Friday, July 4 at 10:10 p.m. ET.
Stechschulte, who just completed her final season of eligibility and her first year of graduate school at IU, has provisionally qualified in the heptathlon with a score of 5,661 points, which she recorded at the Texas Relays on April 2-3. She was also a regional qualifier in the 100-meter hurdles and long jump, and a national qualifier in the heptathlon.
