CARSON, Calif. - Following an emotionally-trying morning in which USA Track and Field official Paul Suzuki was struck in the head and killed by an errant shot during practice for the shot put, the Hoosiers began competition in the first day of the 2005 USATF Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Carson, Calif.
