    Neville Heads to 400m Finals in Beijing

    BEIJING, China - Five-time NCAA All-American David Neville kept his dreams of Olympic gold alive on Tuesday, advancing to the finals of the 400m dash. The former Hoosier finished second in his semifinal just behind Leslie Djhone of France.

    Neville finished in 44.91 seconds to take one of the eight spots in the event finals. Neville is joined in the finals by fellow Americans Jeremy Wariner and LaShawn Merritt.

    Neville was a four-time Big Ten champion at Indiana in only three years of competition. He donned the cream and crimson from 2003 to 2005.

    Neville will run in the 400m finals on Thursday, Aug. 21 at 9:20 a.m. ET.
