    JUNIOR SEASON (2009-10; at UC-DAVIS)
    Finished the season ranked 19th nationally after advancing to his second NCAA Championships ... placed third at the Pac-10 Championships ... posted an overall record of 21-9, including a 13-6 mark in Pac-10 action ... team captain ... named to the NWCA All-Academic Team.

    Finished 16-12 overall ... was 6-4 in dual matches and 8-4 against conference opponents ... tied for the team lead with five major decisions and was second with five pins ... pinned Samuel Zylstra of Boise State in 5:43 to place third at the Pac-10 Championships ... defeated Clayton Jack (Oregon State) in true second-place match to gain conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Championships ... the first Aggie heavyweight to make nationals since 2001 ... placed sixth at Reno Tournament of Champions behind two pins and a major decision.

    FRESHMAN SEASON (2007-08; at UC-DAVIS)
    Posted 18-16 overall mark ... placed sixth at Pac-10 Championships ... went 7-5 in duals, including victories in his first six ... went 9-7 vs. Pac-10 opponents ... claimed two pins and a major decision to place fifth at Oregon Classic ... earned Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention.

    REDSHIRT SEASON (2006-07; at UC-DAVIS)
    Entered the California Collegiates tournament as an unattached heavyweight, winning three of five bouts ... started with an 11-1 major decision over Vince Bordi of San Francisco State ... won two straight wrestleback matches.

    Qualified for CIF state tournament in each of his last two years, placing third (heavyweight) as a senior ... also finished second at Central Coast Section Masters that year, after taking fourth as a junior ... earned All-South Sequoia League three times, all-area twice ... owned a combined 76-15 record during his final two seasons ... wrestled for the Arvin Grizzlies club, winning a state title in freestyle and placing second in Greco-Roman in 2006 ... took third in 2005 state freestyle tourney ... qualified for national tournament ... also played football, earning All-SSL and all-area honors as a lineman ... the son of Manuel & Rosa Alcala ... has nine siblings ... working towards a master's degree in Athletic Administration/Sport Management.
