    JUNIOR SEASON (2009-10)
    Notched seven victories on the season ... won six of seven matches to place fourth at the Michigan State Open ... also posted a decision over Army's Collin Wittmeyer in the Southern Scuffle ... earned three Big Ten starts and represented IU at 174 lbs. in the Big Ten Championships.

    Sophomore Season (2008-09)
    Began the season by taking fifth place at the Eastern Michigan Open, winning three of four matches ... posted a 6-8 overall mark ... made two starts, including the nod for the Michigan dual match ... split his starts, defeating the University of Cumberlands' Kyle Stygler, 6-1, in the Hoosier Duals ... won a match at both the Michigan State and Missouri Opens.

    Redshirt Season (2007-08)
    Competed unattached at the Michigan State Open and the Kent State Open.

    Freshman Season (2006-07)
    Recorded an 8-7 record as a true freshman, including a 2-2 mark in dual matches ... put together two separate three-match winning streaks ... one of those stretches came at the Michigan State Open when he defeated opponents from Kansas State, Ohio State and Edinboro ... also picked up a 7-2 victory over Eastern Michigan's Josh Lewis.

    Was a three-time state finalist and three-time sectional champ while wrestling for Foxboro High School ... finished his career as the state champion in 2006 ... also brought home a New England championship that season ... placed twice at New Englands ... has two brothers, Vince and Vic ... son of Robert Avery and Philly Mantella ... born on May 22, 1988 ... majoring in Recreational Sport Management.
