    Had a breakout season in his first year at 184 pounds, bringing a mark of 33-13 and his first appearance at the NCAA Championships ... suffered a close 5-4 loss in the first round before rattling off three straight wins in the consolation round, including a pin fall of No. 8 Joseph Rovelli ... held a 13-4 mark in dual meets including a 3-4 record in Big Ten action ... posted five major decisions and eight pin falls on the year ... finished eighth at the Big Ten Championships, earning one of two at-large selections to NCAAs ... held a 7-8 record on the season against ranked wrestlers, including wins over then-No. 3 Alex Clemsen of Edinboro and then-No. 4 Raymond Jordan of Missouri ... earned his first college title by winning the season-opening Michigan State Open (11/12) ... won his first 10 matches of the year ... earned a fifth-place finish at the CKLV Invitational (12/2) after winning six straight matches in the wrestleback ... also grabbed fifth place at Midlands.

    Sophomore Year (2005-06)
    A solid starter for the Hoosiers at 174 pounds ... finished with a 12-16 overall record, going 8-9 in duals and 2-6 in Big Ten matches ... collected seven falls on the year ... registered an upset victory over No. 19 Danny Burk of Northern Illinois at the FITE Duals in a 9-7 victory ... recorded 29 dual points for the Hoosiers ... finished second at the Mat Town Invitational ... won four straight bouts from 12/10-18.

    Freshman Year (2004-05)
    Opened the season with a fourth-place finish at the Missouri Freshman/Sophomore Open on 11/27 ... went 3-2 in the effort, turning in his first-career major decision with a 16-4 defeat of Scott Vaughn of Campbellsville ... finished fifth at the Central Missouri State Roger Denker Open (1/15), tallying another 3-2 triumph ... posted his first-career fall and second major decision with a pin at 1:53 and a 16-5 victory, respectively, at the Open ... posted an overall 2004 record of 7-4 and a dual mark of 1-0.
