A former Hoosier All-American, Coyte Cooper is in his second season as a volunteer coach for the IU wrestling program.
Cooper started all four years for IU at the 141-pound weight class. In his four years, Cooper won 123 matches, making him fourth all-time on the career wins list. His 37 falls is good for third all-time in IU history.
The Anacortes, Wash., native qualified for the NCAA Championships four times, the first Hoosier to do so in program history. A standout in the classroom, Coyte went on to claim Academic All-Big Ten honors four times and twice garnered NWCA Scholar Athlete awards.
Cooper resides in Bloomington and graduated from Indiana in 2004. He is currently attending graduate school at IU, with a concentration in sports management.
