SOPHOMORE SEASON (2011-12)
Advanced to the NCAA Championships with three wins at Big Tens, including a 2-1 victory over #17 Tyler Koehn of Nebraska ... began nationals by topping 10th-seeded Te Edwards (Old Dominion), 4-1 ... also defeated Wyoming's Patrick Martinez at the NCAAs, nailing a takedown in the second sudden victory period to win 5-3 ... recorded an overall mark of 31-15 with four pins, eight major decisions and a team-high four tech falls ... placed in all three tournaments he competed in; finishing third at the Michigan Open and fifth at both the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational and Eastern Michigan Open ... swept the IU Quad and Hoosier Duals amidst a 10-match winning streak midseason ... opened conference-dual action with a 15-5 major decision over Iowa's Walter Gillmor ... started 18 of 19 duals, including seven Big Ten bouts ... an Academic All-Big Ten selection.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2010-11)
Earned 12 starts, including seven during the Big Ten season ... posted an overall mark of 10-11 with three victories coming in conference bouts and two via major decision ... was 2-0 versus Purdue Boilermakers ... an Academic All-Big Ten selection.
REDSHIRT SEASON (2009-10)
Ripped off 19 consecutive victories and snagged three tournament titles to begin his redshirt season ... recorded an overall record of 20-2 with three major decisions and two falls ... started with a first-place finish and 5-0 mark in the 165-lbs. Freshman/Sophomore Division of the Eastern Michigan Open ... picked up a major decision and pin while in Ypsilanti ... competed in the open division at the Michigan State Open, taking four straight bouts to advance to the finals before withdrawing from the tournament ... defeated senior NCAA Qualifier and Spartan starter Kyle Bounds, 5-4, in the semifinals of the MSU Open ... also took home tournament crowns at both the Cleveland State Open (5-0, two majors) and Greyhound Open (at 174 lbs.) ... won opening two matches of the National Collegiate Open to run his perfect record to 19-0 before suffering his first defeat ... rebounded to place fourth in the National Collegiate.
