BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Hoosier Wrestling wrapped up the non-conference portion of their season with a bang, taking 28 of 30 matches at the 2011 IU Quad. The #23 Hoosiers outscored Sunday's trio of opposition by a combined score of 130-9. Indiana lost just one decision the entire day to go along with a forfeit in the final dual match.

Eight Hoosiers posted 3-0 marks individually while Paul Young made it nine unbeaten IU wrestlers after winning his first two bouts and sitting out in the final dual. The long list of 3-0 Hoosiers includes: Justin Brooks, Matt Ortega, Mitchell Richey, Kurt Kinser, Nick Avery, Eric Cameron, Matt Powless and Ricky Alcala.

Ortega racked up the most team points for the Cream and Crimson, pinning all three foes for the maximum 18 team points. The quartet of Kinser, Cameron, Powless and Alcala all compiled 15 or more team points and bonus tallies in each bout. Kinser, ranked 15th nationally at 149 pounds, recorded two pins and a major decision. Cameron and Powless each posted one major, one tech fall and one pin while Alcala earned a pin and major decision to go along with a forfeit to conclude the event.

No. 6 Powless improves to a team-best 27-2 on the season.

The Hoosiers topped Cleveland State, 44-0, Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, 45-0, and Gardner-Webb, 41-6, to move to 10-2 in dual matches.
