Kansas City, Mo. - Coyte Cooper was the last Hoosier standing at the NCAA Wrestling Championships in Kansas City, Mo., Friday night.Cooper lost, falling to Aaron Holker of Iowa State in 3:37. The defeat pushed Holker into seventh place, good for All-American honors while Cooper remains just one win shy of the honor on the year. He ends with a 38-5 record on the season.

Cooper Lone Hoosier Standing at NCAA Championships

Kansas City, Mo. - Senior Greg Schaefer's All-American hopes were dashed Friday afternoon as he lost a tough battle to North Carolina's Evan Sola, 7-5. The loss brings his season record to a final 28-12 on the year and a career record of 85-42.

Junior Coyte Cooper moves on to the next round in the wrestleback bracket after defeating Fresno State's Casey Olson, 11-5. He will face Aaron Holker of Iowa State in wrestleback action.

Cooper and Schaefer Move On In All-American Quest

Kansas City, Mo. - Senior Greg Schaefer and junior Coyte Cooper each advanced on their paths toward All-American honors Friday morning at Kansas City's Kemper Arena.

Schaefer defeated Sacred Heart's Jason Cucola, 3-2 to move on. He will face North Carolina's Evan Sola later Friday afternoon. Schaefer now boasts a 28-11 record.

Coyte Cooper defeated Michigan State's Ryan L'Amoreaux in a sudden victory, overtime match by a score of 11-9. He will face Fresno State's Casey Olson Friday afternoon.
