    Young Selected to Compete in NWCA All Star Classic

    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Paul Young has been selected as one of 20 wrestlers in the nation to compete in the NWCA (National Wrestling Coaches Association) All Star Classic, to be held November 21 in Fresno, Calif.

    He will compete in the 157-lbs. match, matching up against Josh Asper from the University of Maryland.

    Young racked up 35 wins and 13 pins last season, qualifying for his second NCAA Championships. His 13 pins are the 10th-most in school history for a single season, ranked fourth in the Big Ten last year and 13th in all of Division I wrestling. Meanwhile, the 35-win total was the 10th highest in the conference and 27th-best nationally.

    The Bloomington, Ind., native will be action Wednesday (Oct. 27) night as the IU Wrestling team holds their annual Cream and Crimson Intra-Squad Scrimmage. The event is set for a 7 p.m. start inside Assembly Hall.
