    Perry Earns Big Ten Wrestler of the Week Honors

    BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Redshirt sophomore Trevor Perry has been chosen as the Big Ten Wrestler of the week, announced the conference office today.

    Perry picked up five individual wins at the Hoosier Duals on Saturday in leading Indiana to a 5-0 team record. Perry was dominant in all of his matches, pinning three opponents and earning a major decision. In his first match of the day, Perry pinned Charles Simmons from the University of the Cumberlands in 5:23. He went on to defeat Oregon's Ronnie Lee in a 12-7 decision in his second match. Perry then pinned Duke's Ben Wales in 1:11 to record his quickest match of the day. The Davison, Mich. native won his fourth match over Liberty's Christopher Daggett in a 16-8 major decision. In his final match, Perry pinned Ohio's Anthony Ciraky in 4:39, marking his sixth pin of the year. He now sits at 10-2 overall on the season.

    Perry will next be in action at the FITE Duals on December 16th in Chicago, Illinois.
