JUNIOR YEAR (2004)

SOPHOMORE YEAR (2003)
Earned All-American honors after placing 19th at the NCAA Cross Country Championship with a time of 29:57.7 named IU's Athlete of the Year became the national champion in the mile at the 2004 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship with a then-personal best time of 4:00.16 finished 21st with a time of 24:46.7 at the 2003 Big Ten Championship led IU to a fifth-place finish at NCAA Regional after placing third with a time of 30:41.0 during the outdoor track and field season, was the Mt. Sac Relays 1,500m champion and the Big Ten 1,500m champion.
FRESHMAN YEAR (2002)
Sean and John Jefferson became the first Indiana rookies since Olympian Bob Kennedy (1988) to earn all-league honors in their inaugural campaign Sean was the Hoosiers' No. 2 runner in every meet but one during the year his top 8K time came at the Big Ten Championship, when he finished sixth overall with a time of 24:13 also posted a sub 24:30 performance at the Pre-NCAA meet (24:22) qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship in the 5,000m finished 11th in the 1,500m finals at the USA Track and Field Championships.
REDSHIRT YEAR (2001)
