    JUNIOR YEAR (2004)
    Placed 34th overall with a time of 31:45.7 to earn All-America honors for the second year in a row and lead Indiana at the NCAA Championship to an 18th-place tie • became just the fourth IU cross country athlete in school history to earn All-America accolades at least twice in his career • was IU's top finisher in six out of seven meets, including an eighth-place finish at the Big Ten Championship where the Hoosiers captured second-place honors • during the indoor track season, broke Jim Spivey's 23-year old school record in the mile with a career-best run of 3:56.44 seconds, finishing in first place at the Meyo Classic in South Bend • in doing so, became just the 265th American to run a sub-4-minute mile • twin brother John accomplished the same feat, making them just the 14th set of brothers and fourth set of twins to break four minutes in the mile, of the 14 sets of brothers, they are the first that are both American born • earned his second All-American accolade at the NCAA Indoor Championship with a second-place finish in the mile • runner-up in the 1,500m at the Mideast Regional meet • captured a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a career-best 3:38.91 to earn his fifth All-American accolade (track and cross country combined).

    SOPHOMORE YEAR (2003)
    Earned All-American honors after placing 19th at the NCAA Cross Country Championship with a time of 29:57.7 • named IU's Athlete of the Year • became the national champion in the mile at the 2004 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship with a then-personal best time of 4:00.16 • finished 21st with a time of 24:46.7 at the 2003 Big Ten Championship • led IU to a fifth-place finish at NCAA Regional after placing third with a time of 30:41.0 • during the outdoor track and field season, was the Mt. Sac Relays 1,500m champion and the Big Ten 1,500m champion.

    FRESHMAN YEAR (2002)
    Sean and John Jefferson became the first Indiana rookies since Olympian Bob Kennedy (1988) to earn all-league honors in their inaugural campaign • Sean was the Hoosiers' No. 2 runner in every meet but one during the year • his top 8K time came at the Big Ten Championship, when he finished sixth overall with a time of 24:13 • also posted a sub 24:30 performance at the Pre-NCAA meet (24:22) • qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship in the 5,000m • finished 11th in the 1,500m finals at the USA Track and Field Championships.
