Hoosiers Conclude Season At NCAA Cross Country Championships

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Indiana men's cross country team wrapped up the season as they finished 28th as a team at the 2007 NCAA Cross Country Championships on the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, Ind., on Monday, Nov. 19. The Hoosiers recorded a final team score of 618 points.
Junior Timothy McLeod paced the Hoosiers as he finished 83rd with a time of 31:09 in the 10K national race. Freshman Ben Hubers crossed the finish line second for the Hoosiers in 111th place with a time of 31:26. Classmate Cole Hardacre placed 127th with a time of 31:36, redshirt sophomore Jordan Kyle finished fourth for IU in 139th place with a time of 31:42 and redshirt junior Brennon Plotner rounded out the Hoosier top-five in 158th place with a time of 31:57.
Oregon claimed the national title with a team score of 85 points, while Iona finished second with 113 points, Oklahoma State placed third with 180 points, Northern Arizona finished fourth with 190 points and Wisconsin took fifth with 239 points.
