Former Hoosier Places 23rd in the Boston Marathon

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Former Hoosier Jon Little finished 23rd out of 22,473 total athletes in the 110th running of the Boston Marathon on April 17 in Boston, Mass. Little completed the race with a time of 2:23:17 and at a pace of 5:28 per mile.
After transferring from Rutgers midway through the 2001 season, the Hamburg, N.Y., native ran cross country for IU in 2002. Little's career best with the Hoosiers came at the Indiana State Invite, where he posted a time of 25:45:4 in the 8K. Little's highest finish at IU came in the Indiana Intercollegiates 8,000m in which he finished 17th with a time of 26:32. At the conclusion of the 2002 cross country season, Little earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.
Little also competed as a member of the 2002-03 Indiana track and field team, where he ran the 3,000m steeplechase.
Little currently resides in Kansas City, Mo.
